Introduced in 1905, with this example having been custom embellished much later in the 20th Century. The sides of the frame and the top strap have a floral and vine scroll engraving on a punch dot engraving accented with gold inlaid borders. The top of the barrel has the Colt two line address/patent dates surrounded by a gold inlaid border. The breech of the barrel has a floral engraving with a gold inlaid accent at the muzzle. The cylinder has a gold inlaid border with an engraved floral pattern on the chambers. A gold inlaid squirrel inside an oval is on the right side of the frame. The left side of the frame under the cylinder is signed "EVANS, (Bob Evans). Equipped with an elevation adjustable Patridge front and windage adjustable rear sights. Matching numbers on the inside of the frame and crane. Finished blue with polished hammer sides. Fitted with a set of Colt medallion ivory grips. The Colt factory box has the correct end label for a revolver of this type.
