Pre-War Colt Single Action Army Revolver with Pearl Grips and Factory Letter

Manufactured in 1929. The top of the barrel is marked with the one line address, "45 COLT" on the left side and the left side of the frame is marked with the two line, three patent dates followed by the Rampant Colt. The matching serial number is marked on the bottom of the frame and on the right side of the grip straps under the grip. The loading gate and right rear of the frame are marked with the assembly number "369". Blade front and frame notch rear sights, blue finish with casehardened frame and hammer, and fitted with smooth pearl grips. The included factory letter confirms the caliber, barrel length and finish with the type of stocks listed as wood at the time of shipment. The revolver was shipped to J.L. Galef of New York, New York on January 24, 1929.

ConditionExcellent. The revolver retains 97% original blue finish with some minor muzzle and edge wear, a light drag light and scratches on the cylinder, and some light spotting on the grip straps. The frame and hammer retain 98% original bright case colors. The grips are excellent with a small chip on the upper right side. The markings remain sharp. The action is excellent.
