A) Unmarked Brass Percussion Pepperbox Pistol

This pepperbox pistol has a brass frame and barrel cluster with the bar hammer and ring trigger being iron. There are no maker markings but the consignor notes state that the pistol is Scandinavian. Fitted with smooth grips. Provenance: The William Ashby Collection

ConditionFine. The brass has an untouched aged patina. The grips are very fine with a few minor handling marks. Action needs work as the barrel cluster is not in sync when action is hand rotated.

B) Brass Percussion Pepperbox Pistol

The barrel cluster is made up of four barrels. The frame, barrel cluster, and trigger guard are brass with iron hammer and trigger. There are no maker markings but the consignor notes state that the pepperbox is Scandinavian. The barrel cluster is manually rotated. Fitted with a smooth one piece grip. Provenance: The William Ashby Collection

ConditionFine. The brass has a smooth aged patina. The grip is very fine with a number of minor handling marks and retaining most of the finish. Mechanically fine.
