This is a nice example of a late WWII German P38 pistol as manufactured at the Spreewerke factory. The slide is marked "P38" and "cyq", the wartime code for the "Spreewerke" factory along with the serial number. The obverse is marked with two "eagle/88" Waffenamt acceptance proofs and a single eagle firing proof. The left side of the frame has the "eagle/88" proof behind the serial number. The serial number is located on the front of the barrel lug, with the last three digits on the locking block. It is fitted with dark brown serrated grips with mold marks on the back sides. Complete with a single, all blued P38 magazine marked on the side "jvd".
