This model was introduced in 1955 and is built on the Model 31 action and is fitted with a 25 3/4 inch barrel, which is fitted with a muzzle break and bayonet lug. The top of the chamber is marked with the Swiss cross and the matching serial number (3790) is marked on the receiver, top of the bolt and bottom of the magazine. The breech end of the barrel is also marked with Swiss proof marks. The rifle has the original issue, 3.5 power sniper scope as manufactured by Kern Aarau. The scope and scope can are both numbered (3790) which also matches the rifles. The top of the scope is marked "4910/KERN AARAU/V=3.5/star =75 0/00". The left side of the receiver has integral bases and the scope and mounting rail are all one piece. The barrel is fitted with a one-piece Swiss designed muzzle break/flash hider that has a standard front blade with raised guards on the sides of the muzzle. The rear sight is the standard Swiss military tangent style, marked 1-15 (100-1500 meters) on the face of the slide. These rifles were all equipped with an integral folding bi-pod mounted just in front of the magazine. This scarce rifle has been fitted with a one-piece beech pistol grip stock with checkered grip area and forearm finger grooves. The right side of the buttstock has a single small Swiss cross in a shield proof mark and it has a steel buttplate and matching handguard. This rifle is complete with an original leather sling. The side of the barrel has a small import mark.
