The frame was manufactured in 1944 and is marked on the left side with a "G.H.D." cartouche under the slide stop and a "P" near the magazine release. The right side of the frame is marked "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" AND "M1911A1 U.S. ARMY". The slide has the Colt Service Model Ace markings with an adjustable rear sight. Fitted with a set of checkered brown plastic grips with wide reinforcing rings and a "6" mold mark on the inside of the left grip and a "7" on the right grip.
