Dated 1917 on the chamber, with the "DWM" monogram on the toggle. These Lugers have the distinctive 8 inch barrel with the tangent rear sight graduated 1 -8 (100-800 meters) with the fine tune adjustment and standard front sight. The Luger has standard markings and proofs overall with military style serial numbers with the full serial number on the barrel, frame and barrel extension, with the partial numbers on the various small parts. It also has partially legible "Germany" export stamp present on left frame rail. Proper "GESICHERT" and "GELADEN" marked upper safety position and extractor, with stock lug on the backstrap. There is a small screw added to the upper, front area of the trigger guard bow that acts as an over-travel screw. It is complete with early WWII Police Luger magazine, marked on the aluminum base "s/42/7636./2./Eagle 164.

Rating Definition:

Very good as refinished with most of the dull arsenal type refurbished blue finish overall, with take down lever, trigger and magazine release button also blued. The grips are in very good condition with nice distinct checkering on both sides. A very good example of a WWI German Artillery Luger.
