Manufactured in 1946 during the transition period (late 1945 to 1951). It is chambered in the desirable 22 Hornet caliber. Hooded ramp front sight and elevation adjustable rear sight on a 1945 stamped barrel marked with the Winchester legend on the left side. The receiver is tapped for scope/sight mounting with cloverleaf tang. Pre-war safety, polished bolt numbered to gun and sling swivels. The pistol grip stock features checkering and a checkered steel buttplate. All pre-War characteristics

Very fine as partially refinished (trigger guard assembly and stock). The carbine retains 97% original blue finish showing some loss at the muzzle and some minor high edge wear (mostly on the buttplate). The revarnished stock is fine with a pool of varnish behind the grip and some minor handling marks with overall crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. A fine example of an American Winchester timeline.
