This is an excellent example of the model 52 target rifle as sub-contracted to Freelands Scope & Stand Inc. in the late 1970's. This was the last series of Model 52E rifles that Winchester manufactured. These are a high quality single shot rifle that was made to win International competitions and is still used today. The rifle features include a 28 inch heavy weight free floated barrel with "special Winchester counter bore" and steel scope blocks mounted on the breech end. Redfield International Match globe front sight and Redfield receiver mounted Olympic peep sight. The left rear of the barrel is marked with the two line address, model. "22 L. RIFLE" and proof steel marking and the upper left at the breech is marked with the Winchester oval proof. The serial number is on the left side of the front receiver ring. Black parkerized finish and mounted with a beautiful laminated Freelands thumb hole pistol grip stock with a full length accessory rail on the underside of the forearm, bright trigger guard, cheek piece and adjustable single prong buttplate with two 5/8 inch spacers. The accessory rail is fitted with a walnut finger grip palm rest. These rifles were shipped between 1975 and 1980 in a serial number range that ran from E123000 to E125000. Winchester manufactured only approximately 300 International Match Model 52E rifles, both Free Style and Prone, with the Free Style only having as little as only 17 made, and all were special order. Comes with 4 extra front sight inserts.

Excellent. The rifle retains 99% original matte blue finish with some light scratches on the left side of the barrel. The stock is also excellent with only light handling/storage marks. The buttplate and spacers remain bright. The markings are sharp. The action is excellent.
