Description:

Published in 1943 by the General-Inspector of Panzer Troops, the "Tigerfibel" is a day to day operation manual for the Tiger I tank. In addition to an assortment of charts, diagrams, and technical data are a number of comic style inserts portraying the Tiger as a (sometimes topless) woman and the Russian T-34 as a drunken convict with a knife clenched in his teeth. Included with the manual are a number of loose tank identification inserts, many continuing the caricatured art from inside the books; the British Churchill is depicted as Winston Churchill with a bottle of booze and a tower shield, and for some reason the American Sherman is portrayed as a somewhat dashing Civil War-era officer while the Lee is depicted as a Jewish stereotype.

Rating Definition:

Very good overall, with some light edge wear and a few bends in the staples. The inserts are also very good.
