Rare Class III "Sales Sample" Fully Functional World War II "bnz" Code Steyr Manufacture German MP 40 Submachine Gun

This is an excellent example of a WWII German MP40 submachine gun manufactured by the Steyr factory in 1942. These submachine guns were the most widely manufactured and issued German weapon during WWII with over one million manufactured. The top of the rear receiver is marked "MP 40./bnz 42/113/b". It is fitted with the correct red/brown bakelite lower receiver cover and grip panels. The various visible parts have matching serial numbers "113b" except the firing pin assembly and the late production aluminum resting bar under the barrel. The original matching parts are correctly stamped with the "Eagle/623" Waffenamt proof, indicating Steyr manufacture. The submachine gun is complete with one early rare WWII magazine marked "MP.38u 40" on the lower left side. Small import mark under the receiver.

ConditionVery fine with 85% of the blue finish remaining overall with general light thinning and wear. The lower pistol grip panels and lower receiver cover have numerous light handling marks and scratches from field use. A very nice example of an real WWII German MP40 SMG. NOTE: This weapon is a restricted, National Firearms Act (NFA) Class 3, Fully Automatic Weapon, that is registered with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (BATF&E) under the provisions of 18 U.S.C. Chapter 44 and 27 CFR part 478. This weapon is currently registered as a "PRE-MAY 86 SALES SAMPLE" and as such can only be purchased by an FFL, with a Class 2 or Class 3 SOT License; individuals/companies without these types of Licenses, cannot purchase this weapon. Before bidding on this weapon is it the obligation and sole responsibility of the FFL holder to understand and comply with all the State and Federal transfer laws and restrictions that apply in their current place of residence.
