This is a very fine example of a late WWII Winchester produced M1 Carbine that has been fitted with an M1A1 Paratrooper stock. This carbine was originally manufactured in 1944, the 3rd serial number range assigned to Winchester and it has a late milled rear sight, a type three barrel band/bayonet lug, a flip safety lever, a flat blued bolt and a two rivet handguard. Standard markings on the receiver with a "W" marked barrel. The magazine release is marked with the letters "M/NA". As noted this carbine is fitted with a folding wire, paratrooper stock with the leather cheekpiece. The brass rivets are marked "7/4" and the left side of the stock is stamped "AAN" with a "P" proof on the rear of the stock and a second "P" proof on the front of the pistol grip. This carbine is fitted with an M3-U marked flash hider and a circled "IW" marked 15 round magazine.

Rating Definition:

Very fine as arsenal refurbished, with 95% parkerized finish with edge and high spot wear overall. The stock is also in fine condition also having been arsenal refinished and reoiled with visible proofs and minor handling marks overall. A very nice example of an assembled WWII M1 carbine with a Paratrooper stock.
