Description:

Combining a dagger, revolver and a set of brass knuckles in a compact unit that can easily fit in a pocket, the Dolne Revolver became the signature weapon of the Apaches (Les Apaches), one of the most notorious gangs of pre-World War One Paris. Constructed from German silver overall, the frame of the revolver and the folding pistol grip/knuckle guard are well engraved with a mix of scroll and floral patterns, with the former marked "DOLNE-BAR/NV.BREVETE" on the front sight side and the last ring of the grip stamped "10/H" The retention stud for the blade is silver finished brass, with the remainder of the fittings steel, with a Liege-proofed cylinder, an enlarged release button for the grip, and a 3 inch double edged 'flamberge' dagger on the left side of the frame.

Rating Definition:

Very good. The German silver components show some minor handling marks overall, with sharp detail in the engraving and a small amount of play in the otherwise rigidly-locking grip. The second ring down from the hinge (ring finger when held blade point up, middle finger with point down) is slightly deformed, possibly from impact; while no notes provided with the weapon indicate that this impact happened in a close combat situation, the nature of the weapon's design makes it a distinct possibility. The steel components are all cleaned bright with mild pitting. A slight bend is visible at the tip of the blade, along with some play in the locking mechanism. Mechanically very good.
