Two Deringer Style Percussion Pocket Pistols

A) Deringer-Marked Pistol

German silver blade front and notch rear sights, with light scroll engraving on the breech and "DERINGER/PHILA" on the top flat, which is repeated on the lock. Checkered stock, with a nickel tipped ramrod, German silver furniture, engraved trigger guard and bag-shaped grips.

ConditionFair. The steel components show a dark gray patina overall, darker on the breech, with heavy pitting around the nipple and muzzle and scattered handling marks. Some cracking and bending of the metal is visible on the hammer, with a small crack across the rear of the lock. The stock is fair, with glue-repaired cracks and chips, along with a number of dents and scuffs. Mechanically good.

B) Gillespie Percussion Pocket Pistol

Produced in New York City circa 1848-1870. German silver blade front and notch rear sights, with "GILLESPIE" on the lock plate. Scroll engraving is present on several parts. German silver stock furniture, with a checkered bird's head butt.

ConditionGood. The steel components show a mixed brown patina, with areas of pitting and scattered handling marks. The letters "W" and "T" have been scratches into the left side of the stock, with a few light cracks and scattered dents. Ramrod absent. Mechanically good.
