Description:

The top barrel flat is marked "G.L.RICHARDSON, 36 LORD ST, LIVERPOOL". The frame, back strap and trigger guard are decorated with floral scroll engraving and the left side of the frame is marked "IMPROVED/REVOLVING/PISTOL". The underside of the barrel and the cylinder are marked with Birmingham proofmarks. Blue finish, dovetailed blade front sight and fitted with finely checkered walnut grips with engraved diamond shaped escutcheons and iron cap with compartment.

Rating Definition:

Fair. The barrel, trigger guard, butt cap and cylinder have an artificial brown patina with overall minor pitting. 70% blue finish remains on the frame with a gray patina on the balance. The grip straps have a brown and gray patina. The grips are excellent with a few minor dings, bruises and crisp checkering. The markings are clear and the engraving is fading in places, otherwise it is clear. The action is fine.
