This attractive flintlock pistol features a 12 inch octagon barrel with an engraved geometric design on the forward half and silver relief chiseled breech half. The metal surfaces, (except for the aforementioned rear half of the barrel), are finished bright. The lock is marked "FIEVEZ" directly behind the hammer and "A*NAMVR" ahead of the hammer. The pistol is approximately 19 1/2 inches in length. The wooden ramrod is secured by two decorative pipes. Mounted on a full walnut stock with teardrop flats, decoratively engraved left side plate with a dragon and man's head, decorative trigger guard finial, decorative engraved thumb shield and buttplate with a grotesque face. The stock is raised relief carved with decorative accents.

Fine. The hammer, lock, frizzen and flash pan remain bright with some minor oxidation. The silver has darkened with age and the remaining metal surfaces have a smooth gray patina. The stock is also fine with a blemish on the back of the wrist, a few minor chips, and some scattered minor dents and dings. The engraving is crisp. The action is excellent. An Extremely fine example of an early Flintlock European Pistol!
