Manufactured in 1914. The left side of the barrel ahead of the rear sight is marked with the two address, "32-40" at the breech, and the Winchester oval proof is on top of the barrel and receiver at the breech. Standard three-line upper tang marking and the serial number is on the underside of the receiver. Blade front sight marked "PAT./NOV. 4,02", there is a filler block in the rear sight dovetail and there is an excellent Lyman receiver mounted peep sight. Blue finish, half magazine tube and mounted with a smooth walnut forearm with a steel end cap and straight grip shotgun buttstock with a hard rubber Winchester buttplate.
Very fine. The barrel retains 95% original blue finish with some muzzle and edge wear, and some areas of smooth gray patina. The receiver retains 50% plus blue with most on the left side. The wood is very excellent with a few minor dents and scratches. The markings are clear. The action is fine.
