Manufactured in 1915. Pinned blade front sight, folding ladder rear sight graduated to 200 yards, half magazine and saddle ring staple with ring. The left barrel side has the two- line address/patent date marking and "44 W.C.F." at the breech. The top of the barrel and receiver at the breech are marked with the Winchester oval proof, the upper tang has the maker, model and trademark information. Mounted with a smooth forearm and straight grip stock with a carbine buttplate.
Very good as partially refinished (receiver, wood). The receiver has a smooth artificial brown patina with scattered traces of original blue finish in protected areas. The wood has been lightly sanded and oiled and remains very good with a chip on the lower edge at the receiver on each side and a few scattered minor dings. The markings are clear and crisp. The action is fine.
