Manufactured in 1900. Full length magazine tube, brass blade front sight and elevation adjustable buckhorn rear sight. The top of the barrel has the two line address ahead of the rear sight and "38-55" at the breech. The upper tang is marked with the three line model/marker 1894 patent date and the serial number is marked on the underside of the receiver. Blue finish with casehardened hammer, lever, forend cap and buttplate. Mounted with a smooth walnut forearm and straight grip stock with a crescent buttplate.

Fine. The barrel and magazine are a mix of plum blue patina and 40% thinning original blue finish, with some minor pitting and minor spotting. The receiver retains 70% original blue finish with some minor spotting and pitting. The wood is good with a moderate gouge on the right side of the forearm, and overall scattered minor dings, nicks and scratches. The markings are clear. Mechanically excellent.
