The barrel is fitted with a blade front sight and folding adjustable rear sight. The barrel has a number of foreign proofs, and the legend "IAB MARCHENO MADE IN ITALY" on the right side, with the normal markings on top of the barrel. The frame is casehardened, with C. Sharps patent markings for 1848 and 1852, along with a checkered hammer, smooth trigger and trigger guard action lever. Smooth straight grip stock and smooth buttplate. With rear adjustable peep sight mounted on upper tang.

Very good. The barrel has 85% of its blue finish. The action has 90% of its casehardened finish. Overall the rifle has a few minor blemishes and pressure dents. The stock is in very good condition with the slightest of handling marks with some chip missing on top of the stock near buttplate. Mechanically excellent.
