Heavily Engraved, Silver and Gold Inlaid Harrington & Richardson Model 1873 Custer Memorial Issue Saddle Ring Carbine

Only 243 of these carbines were manufactured with this example commemorating Corporal Henry Scollin. There are four silver panels on the barrel with his name, unit, enlistment date and the place and date of birth. The lower tang is engraved with his place and date of his death. The barrel has one gold inlaid band at the muzzle and two gold inlaid bands at the breech end. Mounted on a beautifully figured smooth walnut stock with smooth casehardened buttplate. With a hardwood case and two books on the subject of The Battle of Little Bighorn.

ConditionExcellent, 99% of the original blue finish remains with some oxidation and pitting on the rear of the sling swivel bar. The stock is also excellent with some scattered minor dings. The case is very good with the lining starting to warp.
