Description:

Manufactured in 1892. Has a blade front sight and an elevation adjustable rear sight. The number "1" barrel has the early barrel address marking with lines on either side of both lines and the caliber "22 SHORT" is marked at the breech end. Mounted on a smooth walnut forearm with ebony inlay and Schnabel tip along with a straight grip stock with curved steel buttplate.

Rating Definition:

Fine, the barrel retains 40% of the thinning original blue finish with scattered scratches, dings and areas of brown patina. The casehardened components have a smooth silvery gray patina with some scratches and some small spots of discoloration. The wood is also fine with scattered scratches and dings. Mechanically excellent.
