Manufactured in 1908. Fixed sights with the two-line address and patent dates on top of the barrel "COLT ARMY/SPECIAL 38" on the left side, a "C" backed Rampant Colt on the left side of the frame and "W.F. & Co." on the butt. Fitted with a pair of checkered hard rubber grips, with "C" around the screw on each side and "COLT" at the tops. While not verified, there are known factory-documented Wells Fargo guns with identical roll-stamping.

Good, with 60% of the original blue finish, showing areas of brown patina, bright edge wear, and scattered handling marks and spotting. Grips are very good with some flat spots on the sides and mild dings. Mechanically excellent.
