Description:

Produced in Argentina, the Ballester-Molina was the successor to the Model 1927 Pistol, a licensed copy of the American Colt 1911. The "B" prefix of the serial number and the British proofs are associated with a series of pistols produced expressly for sale to the British government during the Second World War, and was used as sidearms by the British 8th Army, as well as a number reportedly shunted to the Special Operations Executive, which was in need of non-British ordnance to equip their agents. Fixed sights, with the left side of the slide marked "PISTOLA AUTOMATICA CAL. 45. FABRICADA PCR HAFDASA/PATENTES INTERNACIONALES BALLESTER-MOLINA/INDUSTRIA ARGENTINA", and "crown/GP" proofs on the right side of the slide and frame, and Nitro proof/tonnage markings on the chamber. Fitted with ribbed grips.

Rating Definition:

Excellent, showing 98% plus original blue with some light handling marks overall. A few small chips and dings are visible on the grip ribbing, with the wood otherwise showing excellent condition and color. Mechanically excellent.
