This attractive 16 gauge shotgun has "LEPAGE FRERES A PARIS" marked on the rib along with proof marks and "LEOPOLD BERNARD" (Parisian barrel maker) on the underside of the barrels. A single brass bead sight is fitted at the front of the rib, and it has double triggers and hammers. Aside from the barrels, which have a browned Damascus pattern, the other metal surfaces are finished bright and have some light engraving accents. It has a straight wrist walnut butt stock with a sling swivel in the bottom of the butt and a silver initial shield on the upper wrist. A stud for a second swivel is fixed to the bottom of the barrels. The included luggage style case has a green felt lined interior with compartments and a funnel, powder measure, resizer, and starter. 2 1/2" inch chambers and an approximately 14 inch length of pull.

Very good. 98% plus of the period refurbished brown Damascus finish remains. The other surfaces remain mostly bright with some light spotting and a brown patina starting to form. The wood is fine with some pressure marks and minor scrapes. Mechanically excellent. The case is fine with some minor tears and stains and mild wear from years of storage. Overall, a very attractive pinfire shotgun.
