Description:

Measuring 16 1/4 inches long with an 8 1/4 inch blade assembly consisting of a clamshell exterior housing with a blade shaped profile and 4 1/4 inches of silver koftgari vine decoration, which open up to expose a 7 1/4 inch conventional, unadorned katar blade. Additional koftgari work covers the hilt and support bars with a pair of 3 3/8 inch wide grip bars. The rear grip bar is fixed, and the front grip bar serves as the mechanism for exposing the internal blade.

Rating Definition:

Very good. A mixed gray patina is present on most of the surface with some areas of mild spotting and over 75% of the inlay. The inner blade has been lightly sharpened, and the blade assembly is loose in it's fittings. Mechanically functions fine.
