Description:

This helmet has a spherical bowl shape formed of one hand forged steel plate with golden inlaid patterns, stout mounted long spike at the top, three plume holders and nose guard with gold inlay Arabic writing in front. Suspended from the helmet are rounded link chain mail for ear and neck protection with approximately 39 round cartouches with Arabic writing and floral designs. Included is a newspaper article with a story about Genghis Khan genetic legacy and a wood helmet stand.

Rating Definition:

Very good. The helmet has a mottled brown patina overall with the gold inlay having a smooth dark age patina. The chain mail mostly intact with some slight oxidation. The wood stand is good with some paint finish loss.
