Cased William Clark, August 1874 Marked Double Action Revolver

This interesting revolver is marked "WILLIAM CLARK, AUGUST 1874.," on the top strap. The only other visible markings are some small British proofs. It has bead front and frame notch rear sights and checkered walnut grips. There is some light border engraving throughout. The cylinder pin is released by pressing a lever on the left side of the frame. The ejector is operated by a lever that runs parallel to the barrel on the right, and the loading gate folds backwards. It comes in a wooden case with round, unmarked plate and a blue felt lined interior with a cleaning rod, cloth, empty cartridge block, and compartment.

ConditionFine. The revolver retains 50% of the original blue finish and a brown patina on the balance with a cylinder drag line and light scratches. The grips are very good with crisp checkering overall and a small chip on the lower left panel. Mechanically fine with clear markings. The case is very good with some small chips/slivers absent, general storage type wear, and some staining and small tears on the interior.
