The 2 inch spear knife and 3 inch clip point blade are marked "NON.XLL/UNWIN &/RODGERS/PATENT" on the left ricasso. The clip point blade is also etched on the left side with some scrolling, "PROTECTOR", and what appears to be a bird with a laurel. The knives are enclosed in a German silver case with smooth horn grips riveted to the sides. It has a folding lid compartment in the back strap. Cocking the hammer opens the breech to allow for loading or unloading. The ears on the extractor act as the rear sight and there is a small post for a front sight. The trigger folds down.

Rating Definition:

Fine. The barrel remains mostly bright with some light aging, minor scratches, and a few spots. The hammer and chamber have a gray patina with some oxidation. The horn grips are very fine with only some faint handling marks and scratches. The knife blades have traces of the acid etched panel with the balance, a gray patina and some dark spotting. Mechanically fine.
