This French pistol features a single bead sight on a barrel marked "GAULOIS" followed by a crossed cannon and arrow proof. "No./2" is marked on the dust cover. The caliber markings and St. Etienne logo are on the frame which is engraved on the top, bottom and sides with a floral checkerboard pattern. The front of the frame is serrated with dished out sides for improved grip. There are five cartridge counting holes on the left side and a 3-position safety switch. The matching serial number is marked on the inside of the frame and the underside of the side plate.

Fair. The pistol displays a mixed brown and gray patina and the engraving pattern is slightly worn. There are a few scattered dings and dents. Traces of original blue finish remain visible in the protected areas, and bright casehardened colors are visible in protected areas. The grip is fine with an attractive cream color. Mechanically very good.
