This pepperbox is marked "HERMAN LEDOUX/BREVETE" followed by a boxed "JWL". The back of the cylinder has two Liege proofs, and "14079" is marked on the bottom of the frame behind the trigger. It has a blued finish with twisting inlaid patterns, bright cylinder latch, spurless hammer, folding trigger and smooth grips. It comes in a hardwood case with fitted blue velvet interior and a "H.G" marked initial shield on the lid.
