Display board with six cartridge pouches, one McKeever .50 Government caliber cartridge pouch with "US" embossed in oval on the front, brass fittings, and back of closing tab marked "ROCK ISLAND ARSENAL" in a rounded, half-moon cartouche; one McKeever M1879 cartridge pouch for .45/70 caliber with "N.G.P." (Pennsylvania National Guard) in oval on front and marked "McKEEVER'S PATENT/JAN. 10, 1873/J.H. WILSON PHILA." on the inside and on the closing tab with brass fittings; one Ridabock & Co. .50-70 leather cartridge pouch with brass fitting and brass oval plate marked "NG" (New York National Guard) inside is marked "RIDABOCK & CO./SUCCESSORS TO/J.H. Mc KENNY & CO./NEW-YORK and "FRAZIER'S PATENT/FEBy5th1872/REISSUED MCH 5th 1878/PATENT APRIL 23rd1873"; one McKeever .30-40 Krag leather cartridge pouch with brass fittings, "US" embossed in oval on the front and marked "ROCK ISLAND/ARSENAL/1908./T.C.C. on the inside left flap; one 1903 dated .38 caliber leather cartridge pouch with "US" embossed on the front and marked "ROCK ISLAND/ARSENAL/1903/T.C.", and one Watervliet manufactured McKeever cartridge pouch with brass fittings and oval marked "NJ" (New Jersey National Guard), marker "Watervliet" on closing tab. The Rikers case contains: one McKeever .30-40 Krag leather cartridge box with brass fittings, "US" embossed in oval on the front and marked "ROCK ISLAND/ARSENAL/1908./T.C.C. on the inside left flap, two brass belt adjustment fittings; two Civil War era style cap pouches (one marked "WATERTOWN/ARSENAL/1864/US" on inner flap, one marked "NEWARK/NJ" with brass numeral "2" on front); two brass belt buckles (one marked "NGP" the other "NY"); one tan canvas cartridge belt with brass fittings and buckle marked "US" in oval; one black canvas cartridge belt with brass fittings and buckle marked "MASS" (Massachusetts National Guard); and two Model 1874 sabre belts with brass buckles (one marked "US" in oval, one "E PLURIBUS UNUM" marked federal eagle).

Rating Definition:

Fair to very good. The leather cartridge pouches, cap pouches, and belt have moderate to heavy aged cracking. One cartridge pouch has the closing tab separated from the backing. The brass fittings all have a smooth dark patina. The canvas cartridge belts have some minor wear and tight sighting overall. The brass buckles and fittings have a smooth dark patina. The tan belt is has some age discoloration. The brass buckles and other fittings have a smooth dark patina.
