Introduced late in WWII, the "Kriegsmodell" (War Model) 98k was designed for easier and faster production, increasing the number of stamped components while eliminating some features. Fitted with a hooded blade front and tangent rear sight, with "EQ" and a small shield stamp on the breech and "Mod.98/bnz45" on the receiver ring. Fitted with a stamped "svw" trigger guard, "byf" floor plate and a pair of screw-secured stamped and welded barrel bands. Smooth pistol grip stock with a laminated hand guard, brown leather sling, "eagle/swastika/H" Heer stamp on the right buttstock and a cupped steel buttplate.

Excellent. The barrel, receiver and stamped components show 98% original phosphate finish overall with some mild handling marks. The sights, bolt, follower and other small components are blue with some unnumbered components. Stock is also excellent with some mild dents. Mechanically excellent. Sling is very fine.
