Description:

The included factory letter explains that this is one of only thirteen Model 29's made in this barrel length and chambered for .44 Magnum. It was shipped on May 5, 1960, to H.H. Harris Co. in Chicago, Illinois in its current configuration. The letter also details the many changes that took place throughout the Model 29 production runs. The right side of the barrel has the caliber designation while the left side is marked "SMITH & WESSON". The right side of the frame is marked "MADE IN U.S.A./MARCAS REGISTRADAS/SMITH&WESSON/SPRINGFIELD, MASS." at the front and with the S&W trade mark at the rear. The grips are checkered and feature silver medallions and a thumb groove on the left side. It has a ramped front sight with red insert and a U-notch rear sight. It comes with a wooden case with fitted interior (fitted for longer barrel) that contains a small screw driver and cleaning brush.

Rating Definition:

Very fine. The revolver retains 99% of the original finish with only light handling/storage marks and a faint cylinder drag line. The grips are as new. The markings are crisp, and the action is excellent. The box is very good with some minor storage type wear on the exterior and some damage to the fitted interior.
