Description:

Manufactured in 1928. Fixed sights, with the two-line address and patent markings on the left side of the slide and "COLT AUTOMATIC/CALIBRE .45" on the right, along with the Rampant Colt. The frame is marked "1/VP" and "51" on the trigger guard, with a milled short trigger, checkered wide hammer, long grip safety, checkered slide stop, thumb safety and mainspring housing, and an unmarked two-tone magazine.

Rating Definition:

Extremely fine, with 90% plus of the original blue finish, showing areas of brown patina on the grip straps and atop the slide, bright wear along the high edges, and scattered spotting and handling marks. The head of the magazine release lock shows some tool marks. The grips are excellent, with a few small dings on the crisp checkering. Mechanically needs work as the hammer drops when slide stop is released.
