Description:

Manufactured in 1934. Blade front and adjustable notch rear sights, the two-line address and patent dates on the left side of the slide, the Rampant Colt ahead of the serrations, and the Colt Ace logo and caliber markings on the right. The frame is marked "12" on the right side of the trigger guard, "S/VP" on the left and fitted with a short milled trigger, wide checkered hammer, checkered arched mainspring housing and a set of fully checkered grips.

Rating Definition:

Very fine with 85% plus of the original blue finish showing bright wear along the high edges, a mixed brown and gray patina on the front strap, grip safety and around the mainspring housing pin, plum color around the stop notch in the slide, and scattered handling marks. The otherwise fine grips have a small section removed from the bottom right corner of the left panel, mild dings and a few dark spots. Mechanically excellent.
