The barrel is marked "17 MACH IV" on the left near the breech, and the only other visible markings are the serial number on the lower left of the receiver near the lever and "RUGER/NO. 1" on the top of the receiver. It was produced without fixed sights and is mounted with a Weaver T-10 scope with Micro-Trac adjustments. It is fitted with a custom, extra fancy American walnut, multi-point checkered forearm and multi-point checkered and textured pistol grip stock with cheek rest, sling swivel studs and checkered buttplate.
