Concave checkered rib barrels with a red front bead sight. Features 3 inch chambers and choked modified/modified with ejectors. The barrels have light engraving at the breech and are marked "NEW ITHACA FIELD GRADE" on the right barrel and "ITHACA GUN CO. ITHACA, NY." on the left barrel. The receiver and trigger guard features border engraving. This model was features a selective single trigger and a tang mounted safety. Checkered beavertail forearm with ebony insert and inscribed "GUY HOUSLEY/CHICAGO". Checkered straight walnut stock with a replacement solid red recoil pad. Length of pull 13 3/4 inches. Includes a factory letter, copy of receipt and online ancestry research for Guy Housley. The factory letter states that this shotgun was shipped on May 1, 1935 to Guy Housley, Chicago Daily News, Chicago, IL. The letter also states that this shotgun was shipped out as a Field Grade Ejector, 28 gauge with 26 inch barrels.
