Developed in the mid to late 1980s when the U.S. Army was looking for a new semi-automatic sniper rifle. It was based on the original FN/BAR rifle that was significantly strengthened in the receiver area and then modified for a detachable magazine. 20 inch long tapered, fluted, heavy chromed lined barrel. The top of the receiver has a 10 inch long Picatinny rail, as well as an all plastic forearm that has three Picatinny rails. It has the plastic, pistol grip buttstock with three interchangeable lengths of recoil pad and three interchangeable comb inserts. It is complete with one 20 round magazine and includes additional comb and recoil pad inserts, a FNAR owners manual and the FN/HERSTAL marked black plastic storage case.

Excellent with 99% of the original factory finish overall. The plastic components are also in excellent condition.
