An "Eagle/WaA135" proof is stamped on the left side of the barrel lug and right side of the slide with the slide also having a star proof. The five pointed star is the French pressure/stress proof. Visible "g" block serial numbers are matching and the pistol is fitted with a set of ribbed grips. The "jvd" and "P38/U" marked magazine is without acceptance stamps.

Very fine. The pistol retains 80% plus original phosphate finished with the balance a smooth gray patina. The ill-fitting grips are very fine with a number of minor handling marks. Mechanically excellent.
