U.S. Colt Model 1917 Double Action Revolver with Holster

Manufactured in 1920. Fixed sights, with "COLT D.A. 45" on the left side of the barrel, two-line address and patent markings on top and "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" on the underside. An "eagle head/7" inspection mark is present on the left side of the frame, with the Rampant Colt below it and standard U.S. markings on the butt with a lanyard swivel. Smooth walnut grips. With a commercial brown leather flap holster with faint internal ink marking for an unidentified Lieutenant Colonel.

ConditionExcellent, with 98% of the original blue finish, showing some scattered surface rust on muzzle and grip straps. The grips are also excellent, with some mild dents. Holster is fine, with the button snap absent from the main body, mild scuffs and light stains. Mechanically excellent.
