This is a rare example of a Leonard Francolini Rampant Colt statue with a gold Rampant Colt. According to the consignor it is the only Rampant Colt statue done by Francolini in gold. A very limited number (possibly as low as two) were done in sterling silver. This statue stands approximately 4 1/2 inches, including the base and has a glass dome which gives it a total height of approximately 5 1/4 inches. The base is wooden . The bottom portion of the statue is silver, the globe is a light metal (possibly pewter) and the Rampant Colt is gold. The gold weight is approximately one ounce. In front of the statue mounted on top of the base is a brass plaque with a relief "COLT".

Excellent, with a few very small dings on the base. A very nice, possibly one of a kind Francolini gold Rampant Colt statue.
