Blade front and folding ladder rear sights, with "BERLIN 1896" and a Spanish crest on top of the chamber and standard markings on the left side of the receiver. Smooth pistol grip stock with an 1896 dated crest on the buttstock and a flat buttplate. Matching numbers are present on the receiver, bolt, trigger guard, stock and cleaning rod. A solid representative example of a Spanish American War era military rifle.

Very fine with 85% of the original blue finish showing some handling marks and spotting overall. The stock is also very fine with scattered extensive storage dents and dings. Mechanically excellent.
