This is a fine example of a Colt ACE model semi-automatic pistol that was manufactured in 1936. The right side of the slide has the distinctive "Colt Ace 22 LONG RIFLE" markings with the serial number "6794" stamped on the frame behind the takedown pin. The left side of the slide has the standard Colt one block, elongated two-line address and patent dates with the Rampant Colt behind the slide serrations. The left side of the trigger guard is stamped with the Colt factory sub-inspector letter "X" over the Colt factory "VP" inside the triangle proof with the right side having a single number "60." The pistol has the Colt commercial blue finish, checkered walnut grips and is complete with the original two-tone magazine stamped "COLT/ACE/.22 L R" on the floor plate. Adjustable rear target sight and fixed half moon front sight.

Fine with 70% of the original blue finish still remaining overall with a gray patina finish on the front and rear grip straps and finish loss on the front edges of the slide and frame extension. The walnut grips are in very good condition with nice checkering on both sides showing even honest wear across the tops of the checkering with minor light handling marks. Mechanically excellent. A nice example of a pre-war Colt Ace model semi-automatic pistol.
