Manufactured circa 1941. This shotgun was originally from the Peter and Patty Murray collection and features a single brass bead sight on the concave matte solid rib. 2 3/4 inch chambers, choked modified/full with ejectors. The left rear barrel is marked "WINCHESTER - 16 GAUGE/2 3/4 CHAM.". The underside of the Winchester proof steel barrels are marked "FULL" on the left and "MOD" on the right. Standard patent, address, model marking on the water table as well as the Winchester oval proof , which also appears on the barrel flats. Matching serial number on the upper tang, barrel flat, forearm wood and hardware. Blue finish, single trigger with gold selector, tang mounted automatic safety with gold "SAFE" and mounted with a nicely figured checkered walnut beavertail forearm and pistol grip stock with a black plastic checkered Winchester buttplate. Excellent. The shotgun retains 95% original blue finish with some minor muzzle and edge wear, and thinning on the trigger guard and forearm knuckle. The wood is also excellent with some scattered minor handling marks and crisp checkering. The markings remain crisp and clear. Mechanically fine.
