This engraved double barrel hammer shotgun was manufactured by B. Ebbeke of Herzberg, Germany. The Damascus barrels feature a single bead front sight and a folding leaf rear sight on a solid rib, which is marked with a crown/V proof at the breech. The barrels have 2 3/4 inch chambers with an extractor and silver inlaid band at the breech. The frame, lock plates, hammers, barrel release, trigger guard and upper tang feature a floral scroll engraving. Game scene engraving inside silver inlaid ovals are featured on the sides of the frame, on the lock plates and on the trigger guard. Game bird scenes are engraved on the frame and trigger guard while a rabbit scene is engraved on the left lock plate and a fox scene is engraved on the right lock plate. Each lock plate is engraved with a floral scroll banner with "HERZBERG" inside the banner on the left plate and "B. EBBEKE" inside the banner on the right plate. The trigger guard has a horn extension. Checkered forearm and straight grip stock with cheekpiece, single barrel wedge (with silver oval escutcheon) and steel flat buttplate marked "No. 2280." The length of pull is 13 5/6 inches.
