This attractive shotgun is engraved with tight scroll designs on most of the components aside from the Damascus barrels and has dogs on each of the back action lock plates. The left lock is marked "F.P. FAURE LE PAGE", and the right is marked "ARQR A PARIS". The solid rib is marked with the same marking. The left barrel has some Liege proof marks on the bottom. The trigger guard has a gold inlaid monogram. It is fitted with a bead front sight and a straight wrist walnut buttstock with a pinned purple fabric buttpad. A swivel stud is attached to the bottom of the barrel rib and a second stud with a ring is on the bottom of the butt. It comes with a instrument style takedown case marked "MAISON LEFAUCHEUX/HENRY RIEGER SUCCR/37. RUE VIVIENNE 37./PARIS" on the inside of the lid. The case is lined in dark purple velvet. A French label is attached to the top. The chambers are 2 5/8 inches and the bores at the muzzle are the equivalent of roughly modern 20 gauge full. The length of pull is 13 5/6 inches.
