Description:

Manufactured 1859 to 1868, this revolver falls into the serial number range for the Series III variation and has the correct one line Newark barrel address and 1859 patent date cylinder marking. It features: brass blade front and hammer notch rear sights, five-shot cylinder roll engraved with the standard military and naval scenes, and a varnished walnut grip. The matching serial number is marked on the major components.

Rating Definition:

Very fine. The revolver retains 70% plus of the bright original high polish blue finish, 80% of the vivid case colors, and traces of the silver plating with a dark patina on much of the grip frame and a gray-brown patina on the other exposed surfaces. The grips is very good with some nicks, scratches, and small chips and 70% plus of the glossy varnish.
