Description:

The Allen & Wheelock Center Hammer Army revolver was manufactured in 1861-1862 with estimates of the production total as low as 700. This example has "334" marked on many of the components including the smooth walnut grips and "2334" marked on the butt. There are no visible maker's marks or patent dates. It has a triangular brass blade front sight and a notch in the hammer for a rear sight.

Rating Definition:

Good. The revolver has a mottled brown patina with some oxidation, minor nicks and scratches and light pitting. The cylinder has a brighter drag line. The grips are fine with a number of strike marks, dings and scratches. The action is fine.
