Manufactured in France and very similar to the Eibar or Ruby type pistols produced in Spain. Operating on a striker fired blowback action. The left side of the slide is marked "PISTOLET AUTOMATIQUE FRANCAIS UNION/FABRIQUE A STETIENNE-CAL 7.65". The serial number "0424" is stamped on the left side of the frame and a partial serial number "424" marked on the left side of the slide just rear of the cocking serrations. Grips are checkered hard rubber. Left grips has an Indian head trademark logo and the word "UNION" molded at the top. The right panel is plain checkered.

Fine with 85% original rust blue finish displaying areas of edge wear, scattered light spotting and pitting. Grips are fine as a mismatched pair with somewhat smoothed checkering and edge chipping. Mechanically excellent.
